Solar Cooker Impostors!
There is a low quality Chinese made solar cooker that has been falsely promoted in Australia. Furthermore, people associated with this website are distributing false information about other (higher quality and better) solar cookers including the Sun Oven ®. Unfortunately the high profits of a cheap Chinese copy are enough to make some people give out false information and distribute a sub-par product.
Some have reportedly mistaken the lower quality Chinese solar cooker for the original U.S.A. made Sun Oven ® due to the actions and information of the people affiliated with the misleading website.
The Global Sun Oven® is no longer available, though the worldwide support for it is still very much in place. The cheap imposter however is NOT supported - and if you have purchased this cheaper oven, you need to be careful with it.
The original Global Sun Oven® has now been updated with many improvements and is called the All American Sun Oven® in the USA and has been further refined for Australia as the Aussie Edition Sun Oven ®. The All American is not suited nor supported in Australia.
The Deception
Despite their repeated attempts to be allowed to sell the high quality Global Sun Oven ®, the people involved have been refused.
Although their damaging website at times uses a copyright picture of the Global Sun Oven ®, they do not sell the Global Sun Oven ®.
The website in question sells a cheap Chinese knock off. They have been refused repeatedly the privilege of selling the Global Sun Oven ® due to their business practises and lack of integrity.
They are mistakenly telling people that the Global Sun Oven ® comes from the same factory as their inferior product and that the parts for the Global Sun Oven ® are made in China. This is completely false.
The Global Sun Oven ® is made and manufactured in the U.S.A. entirely to ensure the highest quality materials that are safe for cooking and workmanship. All parts apart from the thermometer are manufactured in the U.S.A. to our specifications using U.S. companies.
If you want the best, high quality solar cooker that performs and lasts - avoid the impostor!
Although the offending website at times uses a copyright picture of the Global Sun Oven ®, they do not sell the Global Sun Oven ®. They have been asked a number of times to remove the stolen / misleading image but it keeps re-appearing.
The under-performing solar cooker they sell is available from the Chinese manufacturer for a very low price due to it's low quality. It creates a high profit margin for the sellers but does not perform or last like the Global Sun Oven ®
This imitator does not get as hot, cook as fast, does not have the same quality components and may or may not be toxic / harmful to your health.
The unit is claimed to be the 'World's Best Selling Design' while in fact it is a cheap knock off of the world's best selling solar oven. These two are worlds apart! Potential clients are told falsely that it is identical to the Global Sun Oven ®!
Do not be fooled: this Chinese fake is not the same as the Global Sun Oven ® !!
If you purchase this counterfeit item you can not expect the same results, service, life or warranty on your solar cooker. We find the claims of this website and the people involved, damaging to solar cooking in general and are disheartened by their actions. Attempts to resolve things have been met with hostility. Solar cooking is a great technology and should be promoted, not degraded by cheap imitations and mis-information.
The false claims made above are far from the only deceptions offered by these people on certain websites.
